#MeToo

Time Magazine’s Person Of The Year was announced this last week, with ‘The Silence Breakers’ as the winners. The #MeToo movement has swept across the world and fundamentally changed the way society thinks about abuse and trauma, especially those acts committed by people of power.

Last week, Susan opened her first photography exhibition on the subject of sexual abuse – the first ever of its kind in Asia.

Prior to the #MeToo movement, this project had already been up and running for about a year. We’re very proud to say that we have been able to do our part with helping to highlight the issues here in Hong Kong. Many media outlets here in Hong Kong reported on the exhibition and we hope that this will open up a forum to speak on a subject that has been difficult to talk about before, and to shine a light for victims of abuse to help them rehabilitate.

Amanda S x Caffe Habitu.

We love cake.  We love Amanda S. So when Caffe Habitu invited us to shoot cakes specially designed and made by Amanda S, it was what they call a ‘no-brainer’!

An established brand in Hong Kong, Caffe Habitu has worked with the lovely Amanda S to produce four exclusive designs for their cake menu this Christmas and Johnny Productions had the privilege of being the photographer for their promotional material.

The shoot was fun, the cakes delicious (Amanda S’ own recipe) and we had an awesome experience working with the very professional Amanda S.  Look out for the advertisements this Christmas and make sure you indulge in some cake!
