Overseas prewedding portraits in Hokkaido
Lots of our clients who ask for overseas portraits look for places that are unique and special. Perhaps part of the reason is that having settled down in Hong Kong, many couples hope for something different when it comes to their pre-wedding portraits. A once-in-a-lifetime reason to do a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
This is the first time Johnny Productions has been to Hokkaido in Japan to take photos. Trent & Connis are the first clients to choose Hokkaido as their destination for overseas portraits; and we have to admit, this was very brave of them to trust us with their choice because when they first came to our office, we did not have samples of work to show them for Hokkaido. However, we had the utmost confidence that wherever we ventured, we could take great portraits!
During this trip with Connis and Trent, we visited many places that were quite raw in nature. It was quite possible to spend time in these remote locations where we didn’t see another soul for miles. It was quite an experience; without the hustle and bustle of the city, the time we spent in these places gave us a sense of peace and relaxation; deep in the heart of forests, maize fields, gardens, etc – the portraits that we came back with are definitely something very unique and different.
Trent and Connis also paid quite a bit of attention to the way they dressed for these pre-wedding portraits; going for something a little different to our usual brides and grooms… which you can see in the pre-wedding portraits. Hats off to Trent, who organised and created the concept – yep, this time it was the groom and not the bride who oversaw all the fashion elements!
