Flower petals, white doves, balloons… we’ve seen our fair share of these gestures of fanfare as our lovely brides walk down the aisle with their equally dashing grooms. It is the final moment of the all-important wedding ceremony and represents the moment of joyful celebration. Keeping this in mind, Christine and Clement also wanted something to mark their union and went for something a little different but no less impressive: as they walked arm-in-arm down the aisle, ten-thousand butterflies were released in the air. Memorable? Absolutely.
We’ve taken part in quite a few weddings held at the Bulgari Resort, Bali and we bring back special memories from each of them. Christine and Clement’s wedding was a beautiful, intimate affair, with the people they loved there to witness the most important day of their lives thus far. The setting was gorgeous, with a fantastic live band and delicious food. We’d like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to Evelyn of Marriage Maestros – wedding planner extraordinaire – for all her hard work for the wedding and who looked after us so well. Ever since our first meeting with Christine, we knew she was a lady with style. She’s a Chanel Super Fan – from her shoes to her clothes to her accessories – and it was no surprise that this style was incorporated into her wedding day. It has been some time since we last caught up with the newly-weds but the memories of their wedding
still remain embedded in our minds. One of the highlights was the exchanging of their vows. Even though the words were simple, the emotions behind them were not. I still remember clearly how nervous Clement was before the ceremony, a stack of tiny cue-cards in his pocket with one sentence per card as he rehearsed and memorised and practiced until he got it perfect. Needless to say that the weather in Bali was hot, but whether we were indoors or outdoors, Clement always seemed to be drenched in sweat – it wasn’t difficult to see that how much he revered the occasion and cherished his bride.
Christine and Clement requested that we keep from showing their faces from our blog, wanting to keep their big day as private as possible and of course, we respect their wishes entirely. However, we would like to share what special moments we can for our dear readers to enjoy.
