On the morning of Joanne and Joseph’s wedding, the weatherman announced a cool temperature of 12 degrees. The sun had yet to come up and when we arrived at the Grand Hyatt at 5.45am, the lobby area was empty. Despite the dark skies and the early, early start, the crew were eager to get the day started.
Credit to where credit’s due – the groom and his groomsmen were definitely in good spirits – not even plunging their feet into ice-cold water on such a cold day dampened them.
The ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt’s Pool House. One of the highlights of the day was the entrance of Brownie, leading the way in a cute pageboy outfit. Another, rather unexpected highlight was the bouquet toss, when the lucky recipient caught the bouquet after it bounced off her head. It seems that there are some things in life that are just destined to be!
One challenge for this particular wedding was the editing of the day’s highlights. With two videographers, a very busy morning and only three hours to edit, it was a rush to get done – but I’m pleased to say that we made it with time to spare…
It was definitely a non-stop emotional rollercoaster ride of a day – for the bridal party and for the crew. It wasn’t until half past midnight, when the day drew to a close for us, that we started to feel the effects of such a long day… the newlyweds however, didn’t seem to be affected, continuing onto the after party. It seems happiness gives you boundless energy!
All the best to Joanne, Joseph and Brownie!
