Red…..
Red is…
… Luck.
… Life.
… Love.
The Chinese revere the colour red for its auspiciousness. It represents prosperity and joy. It signifies health and happiness. To the world over, red symbolises passion and love.
I’ve written before that Kevin and Michelle are a passionate, romantic couple, always in search of perfection. The day of their wedding was no exception, with everything planned right down to the last detail, from the traditional tea ceremony and exchange of vows to the more personalised touches that made Kevin and Michelle’s wedding truly special. The only part they hadn’t factored in was the arrival of our crew at Kevin’s house – I think it’s safe to say that it’s the first time that I’ve turned up in the morning when the groom was still asleep!!
It’s easy to see how much thought and care went into Kevin and Michelle’s wedding; among all the special moments that took place that day, the most memorable ones for me include a song written by Kevin which he performed that evening for Michelle, Kevin’s mum cooking a couple of course for the evening banquet (which we were unlucky enough to have missed out on trying!) and the newly-wed couple tripping the light fantastic on the dance floor.
All these memorable moments and more culminated in an extraordinary day for an extraordinary couple with whom we’ve become fast friends. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Kevin and Michelle all the best for the future.
