TERESA & TONY / wedding in Maldives
22/10/2011 2:40:56 | weddings

It¡¦s been a while since we last went cycling and that old adage of ¡¥it¡¦s just like riding a bike¡¦? Totally true. As the main mode of transport on the beautiful island we were on in the Maldives, we had plenty of opportunity to hone our skills as we took part in Tony and Teresa¡¦s big day.

The Maldives lives up to all of its expectations ¡V white clouds in blue skies above and clear blue water lapping across hot white sand. It is truly a gorgeous location and the perfect venue for Tony and Teresa to tie the knot.

All the quirks of having a private ceremony on the beach in Soneva Gili, Six Sense made this wedding so much more memorable ¡V including the moment when the groom and his groomsmen arrived at the ceremony spot on bicycles. A very westernized affair, our crew had the luxury of starting our day a little later than most weddings we attend. With the ceremony in the afternoon, we had plenty of time to get ourselves into gear for a fantastic celebration.

There were also advantages to having a Michelin-starred chef as the groom as Tony whipped up some of his specialist Italian dishes for his wife. Camera-shy Teresa didn't like to pose for portraits and is one of those rare brides who prefers to keep everything simple and relaxed. Walking down the sandy aisle barefoot is the perfect example of how this particular bride preferred to spend her big day. We came away with some fantastic photos that we think captured the heart of our lovely couple.

We¡¦re very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this very special occasion and we wish Tony and Teresa all the best in what we know will be a long and happy life together. A very special thank you to Tony for giving our crew a couple of days of holiday in such a beautiful part of the world!

YVONNE & DARREN / Lost in London
17/10/2011 16:54:25 | engagement

Everybody has a fond memory or two of their younger years, whether it is from your time at school or where you spent your after-school hours, a certain restaurant you used to frequent with family and friends or what streets you used to walk along on your way home. Many of our couples like going back to their pasts, visiting places they've known since they were kids to see how much it has changed, or not changed as the case may be. This particular shooting became a walk along memory lane for Darren and Yvonne, who met whilst studying in London.

Darren and Yvonne are such a sweet couple. If you're a frequent reader of our blog, you'll know that we've been to London quite a few times - it's a popular destination with couples and we're always happy to go back and see some more of such a vibrant city. We may not have gone to any particularly original locations but what was special about this particular pre-wedding shoot was the nostalgic mood of our couple as they walked their old haunts and allowed our crew to become a part of their history.
