The Big Event that took us to Shanghai was actually the sixtieth birthday bash of Mr Kwong Senior ¡V Kevin¡¦s father. Whilst we were there, we took the opportunity of our beautiful surroundings and a particularly photogenic couple to take some post-wedding portraits.
If you¡¦re a regular to our blog, you¡¦ll find the names Kevin and Michelle familiar ¡V that¡¦s because this is the fourth time they¡¦ve been the subject of our portraits; from pre-wedding to wedding day to post-wedding, they¡¦ve been fantastic about letting us stretch our creative muscles and we¡¦ve been able to travel quite a bit doing it.
This particular shoot was so enjoyable and we found many new locations in a place to which we¡¦ve been many times. With Kevin and Michelle who, by now, are pros at this kind thing, we were continually pushed to try new things, see Shanghai with new eyes and craft new ideas and styles during our few days shooting. We hope this will continue as we head to Okinawa, Brazil after that and after that, onto the rest of the world!

Joyce & Chris / Celebration in Phuket

We were very lucky to have been able to take part in Joyce and Chris¡¦ oversea wedding celebration in Phuket, Thailand. We had a fantastic few days out there with the wedding party and really got to know everyone very well.
Some of our most memorable moments came courtesy of the weather. Fantastic sun gave way to torrential rain, a mere fifteen minutes before the ceremony was to take place ¡V we worried with Joyce and Chris, their family and friends, wondering whether the rest of the day would be a washout.
It wasn¡¦t. Beautiful sunshine appeared just in time for Joyce and Chris to exchange vows and everyone shared a sigh of relief. The stormclouds gathered again for the fireworks display¡K again the sky cleared as the first rocket shot into the air.
We got the opportunity to create some fantastic underwater shots when the bride had no objections to jumping, fully-dressed in her wedding gown, straight into the deep end of a swimming pool inside their villa. This made for a fabulous image and we have many memories from our time in Phuket that we will always cherish.

Fiona & King / Seville engagement

To borrow from King in their special wedding booklet that was presented to every guest at their recent wedding celebration:
¡¥The City of Seville has a very special place in our hearts ¡V the maze-like alleyways; the fragrance of orange blossom¡K the spectacular processions of the Holy week ¡V have never failed to lure us back¡K¡¦
...And the same goes for us. It was an unbelievably warm few days in Spain and a time that we will always remember; exhausting but a fantastic experience. For this shoot, it was important to us all that the portraits were casual and natural ¡V highlighting our couple¡¦s characters. Some of the portraits that resulted from our trip there ended up being printed as part of Fiona and King¡¦s beautiful wedding booklet, paying us a great compliment!
