We were fortunate enough to be invited to take part in a wedding at the Bulgari Resort, Bali.
The Bulgari Resort, Bali occupies a secluded plateau on the southern tip of the Jimbaran peninsula. It is famous for the cliffs that fall dramatically to the Indian Ocean and boasts spectacular views of sunrise and sunset. It offers private access via funicular to a pristine stretch of beach.
Rich mahogany woods and luxurious furnishings create a warm and calming environment with sweeping views. Private and elegant, the Resort combines modern opulence with traditional materials and design. The Bulgari Resort, Bali offers the perfect setting for an intimate romantic wedding.
We flew by private jet, a first for our crew and the excitement was contagious. When we arrived, the beauty of the surroundings only added to our moods. Our clients had pre-booked the entire resort, guaranteeing privacy for our clients’ wedding party. It was going to be an amazing few days.
The wedding itself started at 5pm, when the sun was just beginning its descent into the Indian Ocean. The hotel’s decor was inspired, making use of its natural surroundings to create a fantastic backdrop to the ceremony. I’m especially pleased that the video of the morning’s highlights was pretty well received by all of the guests and the reception continued on well into the night as the guests partied until late.
It was an experience of a lifetime, one that we will never forget.

When it comes to shooting pre-wedding portraits in Hong Kong, there are only so many places we can go before the locations start to get repetitive. To keep each shoot fresh and exciting, we generally focus on the couple themselves and find ways to highlight the individual characteristics of the couple in the finished photos.
Penny and Henry’s shoot is one such example. Even though the locations in which we shot their pre-wedding portraits are very popular with other couples, we were able to create a very unique set of photos by focusing on the different styles and personalities of the bride and groom.
Penny’s bright, beautiful smile and infectious mood was an instant camera favourite, and Henry’s solemn features lit up whenever he and Penny were together. It’s easy to see that Henry adores his bride and the whole experience was full of fun and laughter.
